Note: Anonymous FTP is useful if you want to make some content publicly available to download. It is not reccomended to use anonymous FTP, because it allows any person to access FTP without entering login credentials and can cause malicious software uploads, which can harm your website.
To disable anonymous FTP:
1. Go to cPanel.
2. In the Files section, click the Anonymous FTP icon:
Under Anonymous FTP section, uncheck both boxes for:
Allow anonymous access to «ftp://ftp.example.com».
Allow anonymous uploads to «ftp://ftp. example.com/incoming».
3. Click Save button.
After completing these steps, you will still see anonymous@domain.com and ftp@domain.com listed in your cPanel FTP accounts, but they are not enabled.
